I attended a camporee leaders' meeting with the Mawat folks the other night and this event is looking GREAT – I hope you are planning to come. Please note that the Leader Guide says "Boy Scout", but this is very much for Venturing crews as well – a couple have already committed.

Upcoming Venturing Forum @ Orange District Roundtable

By:
Avery Z Chipka
Venturing Crew 505 Advisor
Orange District Venturing Commissioner

Greetings All,

As you may have already heard through the scouting grape vine Mawat & Orange Districts are working together to provide more informative Venturing Forums for all those involved in the Venturing program through out our districts. As part of this effort Mawat and Orange Districts will be hosting joint Venturing Forums at the district roundtables. We are going to be rotating the Venturing Forum between the Mawat and Orange District Roundtables on a monthly basis. Since the District Roundtables occur on different nights this will not conflict with the ability to attend the Roundtable Nights in your own District.

2013 Orange District Spring Camporee Update

By: Randy Bern
Camporee Chief, Orange District 2013 Spring Camporee

To: Orange District Leaders

At Roundtable on Monday, we decided on a new direction for camporee - I've been working out some details before sending this out.

The 2013 Spring Camporee will be a combined ORANGE DISTRICT / MAWAT DISTRICT event. We've held joint events with Mawat in the past, and they have always been fantastic. I expect this one to continue that tradition.

Camporee will still be May 3-5.

Unplanned website downtime

We are sorry, but our Internet Service Provider (ISP) had an unplanned outage, starting in the late evening of Friday March 1st and it was not resolved until the afternoon of Saturday March 2nd. Our website was unavailable, but as of this posting, normal operations have resumed.
